Celebrating My Birthday with Ancient Aliens

“Perhaps we’ve never been visited by aliens because they have looked upon Earth and decided there’s no sign of intelligent life.” – Neil deGrasse Tyson

Well, it’s my birthday today and I’m now 31 years old! Holy heck. I don’t think age really matters all that much, because I’m decidedly always going to stay a fully grown man-child. I never want my excitement and curiosity for life to leave me, so I’ll remain high energy and curious until the day I die.

Lately, I’ve been watching this program on Netflix called “Ancient Aliens” and it’s soooo good. The series combines archaeological discoveries, religion and science to raise questions about a lot of our past history and how it could be connected to ancient aliens.

Most of the thought provoking series relies upon the kind of evidence that leaves historians and scientists baffled, which is not quite evidence, but it’s so compelling. I find there to be so much possibility in these scientific arguments. Of course they are mainly theories, but I think it would be amazing if scientists began to take alien origin stories more seriously as a possibility. My inner Sci-Fi geek would be so happy.

But, really, who tricycles in a corn field?

There’s an argument that human technological advancement might have exploded in the past 10,000 years because of alien intervention. Some argue that God may have always been a metaphor for these aliens or an alien leader and that they may have even helped to instill us with our greater intelligence, as well as technological advancements. Some scientists believe this may have happened through genetic alterations to our genes and that certain humans may have been privy to bits of information from our guardian aliens throughout history. Some argue voices heard by people as deities could have been our extraterrestrial guardians steering us in one direction or another. How fascinating would that be? 😛

Some of the “evidence” is actually quite compelling. Ancient Sumerians who lived about 4500-2000BC, described the “Annunaki”, as a group of aliens visiting earth 450,000 years ago to have altered homo sapiens as a species in order to mine Gold for them to fix the damaged atmosphere of their planet. Nibiru is supposedly an undiscovered planet in our solar system, which is on an elliptical orbit around the sun and only comes close to Earth once every 3600 years when these aliens can visit more easily. It is said that the ancient Sumerians, although having primitive technology had an idea of exactly the right number of planets in the solar system + 1. All being of relative size as we now know factually today, how could they have known this without assistance?

Check out the Solar System in the top left

Think an extra planet sounds like complete bullshit? Here’s a page from NASA’s website confirming the possibility of another planet with an elongated orbit in our solar system based on surrounding evidence gathered in space. It’s supposed to have 10 times the mass of Earth. I suppose if this planet were ever discovered then it would raise a lot of questions about the plausibility of these origin stories! Which would be exciting.

Another intriguing set of arguments revolved around some historical stone masonry that had been discovered in stone age civilizations with incredible precision. Some having been difficult or next to impossible to recreate with even modern technology; including ancient pyramids, Stonehenge-type rock formations and giant stone carvings.

They’ve even gone as far as to hint at the Third Reich having sought special scientific knowledge through extraterrestrials and religious artifacts for their technological advancements. They’ve also claimed that they may have created a possible time machine. Where would Hitler even want to travel to, I wonder? There are also many instances of military men claiming to have been in contact with aliens or alien technology.

NaziNow, while a lot of this may be stretched truths, misinterpreted science or the lack thereof, it’s fun to think about and imagine. Personally, I see no reason why this is harder to believe as a possibility than mythological Gods of sorts, in fact, I actually find this much easier to believe. It would actually make sense alongside religion because they imply that we were created in the image of the aliens, similar to how religions imply we were created in the image of God.

However, I am a highly scientific person, and my mind is open, but I do not commit to a theory unless I have verifiable proof. It makes for one hell of a theory though and I love it! I highly recommend anybody who has a curious mind or an interest in aliens to give this program a watch and I guarantee, if nothing else, you will be entertained.

Time to go worship my alien overlords now. Perhaps I’ll be one of the lucky ones to get abducted and if I do, I’ll be sure to blog about it. Although, if the legends are true, I may have a hard time sitting for a while afterward… which may call for a break from blogging.

    1. Well, I mean, I honestly don’t believe the aliens were trying to help the Nazi’s win their war because if they did exist and wanted that then I think the Nazis would have won. If anything, I think this program was just designed to make people think and wonder about the possibilities.

They also didn’t say the aliens directly helped the nazis but it is known for a fact that the nazis searched the planet for ancient religious artifacts. It’s interesting and they explain it well in the series… I was just providing a summary in a humorous way.

  1. Happy birthday!

It seems hard to believe that in this entire massive universe that there would be no other planets with intelligent life. Although given the clusterfuck we’ve made of this planet, as Neil de Grasse Tyson says, any aliens in the vicinity would probably move along as quickly as they could.

  2. Happy Birthday to you sir!! Hope you have a wonderful day!

I’ve read, and watched videos, about the Sumerians and the “Anunnaki.” Pretty cool stuff! It does make you wonder why the human race is so different from all the other species on Earth. The Sumerian clay tablets also showed the ninth planet, or Planet X/Nibiru along with eleven other planets. They were pretty advanced. They seemed to have technology that we don’t have. It’s really fascinating! Thanks for the read, Mathew! This post was very informative!

    Happy birthday again!!

  3. I couldn’t agree more regarding extraterrestrial life. It’s hard to imagine that in this vast universe Earth is the only planet with intelligent life ( I use that term loosely 🙂 It is baffling and intriguing. Happy Birthday Mathew, thank you for a wonderful post as always.

  4. Happy birthday Wolfie!!! (that’s my new name for you).

I love Ancient Aliens. I feel like the first few seasons were great and I could totally buy it. Once we got to Aliens and Bigfoot my skepticism started to show.

I also feel like they put Georgio in there to put doubt like…i was all into it but then this guy came on and was like EVERYTHING IS ALIENS!

    1. Lmao! Yeah some of it is kind of farfetched, like the bit with the Nazis I think was pretty hard to believe. I’ve only seen the first two seasons but it’s interesting for the imagination. It’s technically labeled as “pseudoscience” which is science that has no empirical evidence.

I love the nickname by the way, thank you for the birthday wishes!!! 😀

      1. When it first came out I was so fascinated. I read Chariot if the Gods. Its a pretty quick and interesting read if you like the show. I agree with the Nazi stuff being hard to believe too. Its like they took two things that people are scared of and played off of that.

Of course! I hope you’re having a slice of your favorite kind of cake 🎂🍰🐺

      2. I have no idea. I’ve driven out there before and it’s a whole lot of nothing. I assume it ended up also a whole lot of nothing 👽

      3. I would too. The little town right before it, Rachel NV, has this place called the little ale-inn that’s a cute tourist stop, and the highway that goes there is called the extraterrestrial highway. Kind of cool.

At this point even if there used to be aliens there, I’d imagine they might have moved anything to do with extraterrestrials to another more secretive base.

      4. Yes, I live in LA so it wasn’t more than a quick day trip from Vegas. I just wish there was more out there. I love weird tourist stops!

      5. “I could hear everything, together with the hum of my hotel neon. I never felt sadder in my life. LA is the loneliest and most brutal of American cities; New York gets godawful cold in the winter but there’s a feeling of wacky comradeship somewhere in some streets. LA is a jungle.” – Jack Kerouac. True?

      6. 100% true. I was born in NY, and the wacky camradeship is true too. LA is a jungle, which is why I spend every chance I get in Malibu, Santa Monica, and all other neighboring beach towns. The beaches here are everything.

      7. That’s awesome! I wish I would have waited to go to school. I would have probably gone for Art Teaching or English Teaching. 18 year old me was not about it.

      8. I was forced in to adjusting my career. I just hit a point where I stopped caring about money and doing things that I dont want to do… and that means I need to take risks and make big changes. I was working in steel before and hated it…

  5. Happy birthday Mathew! Loved the post. I have watched episodes of that series and it does make even the most empirical person think and consider the possibilities. I think there may be some over sensitivity in any concern about mentioning Hitler or the Nazis. I reread the section many times and in context it is completely harmless. It would be hard to explain that part of the episode without using some name for them. Any way, best wishes!

    1. It is what it is, we can’t avoid reiterating history because some people feel too sensitive to even read certain words? Just leave the blog post. I don’t understand that sort of thing, and yeah that show makes you think. Some of it may be false but some of it could have truth to it. Who knows! Anyways, thanks a bunch for your warm wishes. 😁🙏🏻 Take care Brad!

      1. To dismiss the idea altogether is to exclude an entire area of possibilities. I have agnostic attitudes towards unknown areas of life and religion, but I would agree that religion is so far from reality as to almost be ridiculous. Yet, I don’t feel that way about aliens lmao…

I think it’s just because most religions talk about God and the afterlife as if it were like here on Earth. God is a human, but super human. Heaven is just like Earth except there is no suffering. That’s absurd.

The truth is whatever is after us is likely beyond our capabilities to comprehend and if something had created us then it’s also probably beyond our abilities to comprehend, but it’s sure as hell not going to be some fairy-tale.

        Anyways, that’s my rant… X.x

  8. The navy just reduced the stigma for their pilots and now encourage them to report sightings, which are many. I don’t believe they are aliens, but us. This gig has been going on a long long time. The technology that built the megaliths is in hiding right here on the earth, and likely in the ocean from many reports. Some of the craft enter and exit the water at Mach speeds, and some even appear to be living organisms. Interesting. Happy birthday.
