Faith In Humanity

Free-falling humans through the prehistoric,
Arriving at the dawn of a bloodied Christ.
Illuminate the esoteric and the metaphoric,
Take notice if he really were just sacrificed,
Hold on to hope, relinquish a heart dysphoric…

Into the Dark ages, where our shadows never fell,
Next challenged by the plague for delivery to hell…

Hitler planned a vile campaign of ugly hate,
Under the guise of an authoritarian reign.
Men and women both ceased to aspirate,
And yet, through these struggles, we remained.
Now against a looming climate change,
In the face of chaos, we may yet persist.
Though some of humanity may be deranged,
Young warriors, for the world, will resist.
