What love had built it had also destroyed
Blocks fortified strong in mighty heart
From whence lay not but an empty void
And yet before true love could make its start
Fate did separate myself and my sweetheart
So down come those tumbling blocks we’d built
Lying dismally dashed upon the ground apart
Lost love drowns beneath the grief and guilt
As I guard wounded sentiment by a sword’s hilt
Assembling the pieces of what left remain
Time in slowness leads to a heart rebuilt
While an ability is garnered to love again
And a faith restored for seeking souls anew
Acquiring love built as fresh as a morning dew
I love this!! One of my favorites from you!! ❤❤

Hopeful, gentle and bittersweet… if love can be describe so easily then it wouldn’t be love…
I love this poem.
