The Wolf Comes Home

No matter who you are or where you are, instinct tells you to go home

Laura Marney

Hey wolfs cubs,

It’s been a while, and I hope that you’re all doing very well, but perhaps that is wishful thinking given the current circumstances of the world! However, it will all get better, we just need to hang in there. As long as you have this life to live then that’s something to be grateful for.

I’ve just wanted to reach out and let you all know that I have not checked my blog for many months, nor my other blog, UnderthePhilosotree. I’m also beginning another blog because, you know, I’m addicted to this platform, I guess. Or else, maybe I’m just not brave enough for Youtube yet, but more about that later. If any of you out there have actually followed this blog and hoped for more content I want to let you know what’s new with me. Also, I’ve noticed about 50 messages from the past few months which I have never read or replied to, and to all of my friends who come to my blog and leave thoughtful messages, I am very sorry for that! Life has been hectic.

So, what’s been going on?

Well, it looks like the last time I’ve written on my other blog was back around the beginning of the school year. Perhaps it was even further back then that though. After COVID hit I had a lot of free time with my daughter which was nice and it was a pretty good time to blog, although I still did very little. Afterwards, I started working full time for the rest of the summer and basically, just after I finished taking care of my daughter near-daily for 4 months my ex-girlfriend (the baby mama) told me that she wanted to move 3 hours North with her; that she didn’t need permission to do so. This began a big legal battle because there was no way I was going to allow that. She has made many accusations about me in order to try and justify what she’s fighting for, and essentially, it’s just been stupidly annoying and exhausting, not to mention kind of frightening. I was sick with depression because of it for a while. She was minimizing my access to my daughter and just being an overall jerk about things. On the bright side though, we have had our first conference with a judge after what feels like an eternity and their case is very stupid against me. Their most prominent argument was that sometimes Nova doesn’t have naps at my place. She is also not allowed to move willy-nilly. Now it’s going to be another few months before we have the actual “trial” and receive a judgment, but I feel really good about it all. I’ve been hurt, I’ve been angry and I’ve been stressed – but I’m almost there, and I assume things will be just fine no matter what happens.

I’ve also returned to University with a mixed focus on both Philosophy and English Literature. This school year has felt less than spectacular for me, given my current circumstances and the state of the world. Also, learning online has some serious drawbacks, same with never leaving the house. Let’s just say I take advantage of Canada’s legal marijuana laws more than I ought to lately. Because why not?

For quite some time, I was still working part-time with a factory outside of town creating environmentally unfriendly packaging for snacks that will slowly kill a person. Truly life changing work – but that has since come to an end as I was minimizing my availability for that job and lost my value. Which is okay with me. Since the end of 2020, I have found a new obsession in the form of trading stocks and more recently, cryptocurrencies. In my free time, I had read a few books about economics and how to make money; I’ve read books about investing and I’ve paid to take online classes in technical analysis so that I could better read charts and identify trends. Now I’m in deep into cryptocurrencies and I don’t imagine that I will ever turn away from it – I am fully convinced that the blockchain technology which serves as the foundational structure for cryptocurrencies will be the future standard for humanity because it is the most democratic, secure and transparent type of software possible. If any of you have never really taken the time to learn about it then you probably have no idea what the hell I’m going on about, and that’s alright! That was me a few months ago.

However, this all leads to my next point, I’ve created another blog, Rise of the Crypto Wolf. If you haven’t guessed already, it’s about cryptocurrencies and I’m going to do my best to explain the technology, as well as educate on its advantages, as well as how to invest in them to earn life-changing amounts of money. We are currently at the early stages of mainstream adoption for the major cryptocurrencies and there is a ton of money to be made. Fiat money (paper money) is also being devalued at alarming rates all over the world, and inflation will not be pretty in the next few years. The best cryptocurrencies however are deflationary and will only increase in value even more because of that fact; but there are also many risks involved with investing in crypto for those who don’t what they’re doing or what they’re investing in. That’s why I will not tell you what to buy, but I will educate you and introduce you to new opportunities, because I do not want to be blamed for anyone else’s investment choices. I will also let you know what I am doing and why. If that sounds like something that you are interested in, feel free to check it out and support the blog! There’s only a single post at the moment because it is extremely new, but I would greatly appreciate that. 🙂

For any of you who do not care about that subject in the least, then have no fear, Wulf is still here and I will attempt to keep this blog going in the future, even if it is only one post per week or so. I do miss the therapeutic effects of blogging, creative writing and interacting with all of you, my friends, from around the world. So, thank you all for your continued support and I hope to chat with you soon.

Note: What’s the greatest thing that has happened to you in the past six months? What will you be glad to see finished in the next year? Let me know down below!

  1. I have missed you my Wolf brother! I am sorry to hear that things with ex have been so difficult. You have done the hardest part till now, so stay strong and stay focused on your daughter and yourself. Everything important will still be here when the smoke clears. I will try to visit your new blog, but you are talking rocket science to me when it comes to crypto. If there is anything I can do, you need only ask. I hope we will see a bit of creative writing as your time allows. Best of luck in all things and my best to you and yours!

    1. Missed you too buddy. Glad to see you’re still kicking around and things are going well for you too (I hope?). I will be sure to get a feel for what I’ve been missing on your blog too. And no worries about the crypto stuff hahah.
